FAQS

How do I get started with therapy?

Simply click HERE to schedule a free 20-minute phone or online consultation.  In order to get a better idea of your current situation, I request that complete a very brief consultation form prior to your call with me.   I’ll review your information and we’ll schedule a time to talk about how I can best help you.  You will decide if we’re a good match together.  If for whatever reasons we aren’t a good fit, I will refer you to my most suitable colleagues who would be a better match.

What are your office hours?

Due to COVID-19 I am offering online and phone sessions only.  Because my sessions are all virtual at this time, I have greater flexibility for scheduling. Please see my calendar online to schedule a session with me.  My office location is: 3625 East Thousand Oaks Blvd., Westlake Village, CA.

Do you offer face-to-face therapy and online therapy?

YES! I am in my Westlake Village office on Thursdays for office appointments and I am available for online sessions for the reminder of the week.

How long do I go to therapy for?

During our first session, we will determine your goals and how long it will take to reach those goals.  Once you reach your targets, you’ll decide if you want to schedule “maintenance” sessions or return if you ever need additional support.

How much do sessions cost?

Initial Intake appointment and EMDR therapy*: 90 minute session: $265

Standard appointment: 50 minute session: $175

*EMDR therapy generally requires more time due to the nature of the high intensity work we do.  It’s best to schedule a 90 minute session so we can safely and successfully move through the trauma work.

What is therapy like?

In our work together, we will start with an initial assessment so I can get as much information as possible to determine the exact goals that are important to you so we can get to the core of your issues without wasting your time and money. After the initial appointment, we’ll get right into the work…whether trauma, addiction or both.  We’ll identify goals and a time frame to reach these goals.

Please see the ONLINE THERAPY section for more information.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not participate with any insurance panels and am considered an out-of-network provider.  I am more than happy to provide a superbill for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask that cancellations are made 24 hours prior to your appointment.    As long as you cancel within 24 hours, you will not be charged any fees.  If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged the full rate.  I send all session confirmation appointments 24 hours in advance so you will have friendly reminder of your session.
